Obligatory New Years Post

Just got back from a wonderful New Years Eve. The evening started out at Alyssa's, where along with her friend Joey, we had yummy cheese fondue coupled with 'trailer trash cider' (Made by dissolving hot tamales in cider, served hot). That was followed by a whipped cream and some other filling stuffed puff pastry which was melt in your mouth delicious. Post dinner was the clean up (fondue pots can get messy) and a bit of relaxing before making our way out into the cool, dank night.

We hopped on a crosstown bus, and then jumped on the 1 and rode all the way up to Washington Heights where there was a new years eve party to attend. Although lacking in energy and inspiration, it was still a nice way to ring in the new year. Seeing Dick Clarke's return was inspiring, but it was still hard to see him, knowing the energy and excitement was all still there, just unable to be fully conveyed. Post rockin' new years eve there was a little talk and a fair bit of twister before we decided to head out.

We made our way back to the east side and ended up putting on the Bollywood flick Bride and Prejudice. Although the musical numbers and the dancing was fun to watch, there were definitely parts that didn't fit together for me. Maybe if i see it again I'll have to pay more attention to what exactly is going on.

And then I eventually left, headed back to Penn station and had a wait of a little more than an hour till I hopped on a train and headed back to New Jersey. All in all a wonderful new years eve.
